Privacy policy

This policy explains how PixelBoard (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use PixelBoard. It is written for UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where you are in the EEA we apply the same standards under the EU GDPR. Where you are in Turkey we apply the same standards under KVKK (Law No. 6698) to the extent that law applies.

What we collect

• Board session. A random session id in an essential cookie so checkout, presence, and abuse limits work.
• Presence. That we saw your session recently, so the live visitor count is honest. We do not store your name for this.
• When you buy pixels. Company name, website or handle, optional tagline, category, logo, bid amount, and which squares you paid for.
• Payments. Stripe takes your card or wallet. We receive payment status, amount, and Stripe ids. We do not store full card numbers.
• Clicks. If you open a company site from the board we count the click.
• Technical. IP address may be used briefly to rate-limit abuse. Theme preference stays in your browser (local storage), not on our servers.

Why we use it

We process this data to:

• run the live board, holds, and Stripe checkout (contract);
• show your logo and listing after you pay (contract);
• stop fraud, bots, and double-spends (legitimate interests);
• keep payment records for tax and accounting (legal obligation);
• answer support mail you send us (legitimate interests or contract).

We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising cookies or ad pixels.

Who we share it with

Stripe processes payments. The site is hosted on Vercel. Logos may be stored with Vercel Blob. Those providers may process data in the UK, EEA, or the United States under their own terms and transfer tools. Company name, logo, website, and spend appear in public on the board and directory. That is the product.

How long we keep it

Public listings and paid pixels stay on the board until the product changes or you ask us to remove what the law lets us remove. Payment records are kept as long as UK tax rules require (usually six years). Session and presence records are operational and age out. You can ask us to delete or correct data that is not required for a completed payment or a live listing.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and to object to some processing. You can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). If you are in the EEA you can also complain to your local authority. If KVKK applies you can also apply to the Turkish Data Protection Authority (KVKK). Email privacy@pixelboard.lol.

Children

PixelBoard is not directed at children. You must be 18 or over to buy pixels and able to form a contract.
